Archspire brings its Vancouver-forged technical death metal to O2 Academy Birmingham on 30 October 2026. Formed at the end of the 2000s, the quintet has built a precise, high‑velocity sound where hyper-detailed riffs, segmented drumming and a near‑percussive vocal flow lock together. Across All Shall Align, The Lucid Collective and Relentless Mutation, the band tightened its writing and contrast work, before Bleed the Future pushed clarity without softening complexity. On stage, Archspire is about collective synchronization and sharp dynamics, moving between bursts of speed and brief, more atmospheric tensions, all carried by a surgically tight rhythm section and intricate guitar patterns.
Crown Magnetar, from Colorado, joins with a strain of technical, hard-hitting deathcore. The group navigates fast tempos, heavy rhythmic breaks and a constant interplay of high screams and deep growls, shaping dense, compact structures. After early digital releases, The Codex of Flesh (2021) and Everything Bleeds (2022) set the tone: precision-driven arrangements, saturated textures and a focus on impact. Together, both acts align on speed, accuracy and intensity, each with its own approach to structure and weight.
