On March 12, 2026, L'Ubu Rennes opens its stage to ASHEN and Revnoir. A compact bill, conceived for a direct live show, featuring two projects that rely on impact and precision.
ASHEN, a Parisian metalcore band, delivers a frontal sound made of sharp riffs and tight, syncopated rhythms that keep the performance clenched. Vocals shift between rough attacks and cleaner lines without losing tension. The breaks provide clear breaths before driving back in, all supported by a locked-in rhythm section. On stage, the band goes straight to the point: taut structures, quick transitions, and a collective energy that keeps the room focused and moving.
Revnoir, a French outfit, rounds out the evening with a set crafted for the stage. Tight guitars, an anchoring bass and driving drums create effective contours and play on dynamics. Without showy flourishes, Revnoir advances with compact songs that rely on intensity and contrast, echoing ASHEN's energy. Two complementary visions sharing the same desire to let the electricity do the talking in the setting of L'Ubu Rennes.
