Mathieu Madénian returns with a new show that looks at current events from a human scale—the perspective of a guy whose life has truly been shaken up by the arrival of a baby. On stage, he doesn’t play the model dad: he talks about sleepless nights, back-to-back diaper changes, the doubts that creep in at feeding time, and the small joys that arrive when your schedule explodes.
His playground is the present, the news as it drops, and life moving fast, but filtered through the eye of a new father. You hear his dry quip, the self-deprecating edge that grates, and this way of grabbing a detail of everyday life to rise to the big picture—from the couple to society, from the stroller to a world that stalls.
With a mic in hand, he delivers a direct stand-up, no posing, where the intimate and the collective respond to one another. A fourth installment, between a chronicle of the era and a parenting diary.
