Info
On April 3, 2027, Jean-Michel Blais takes the stage at Café de la Danse in Paris for a concert where the piano becomes a space for improvisation and attentive listening. A Quebecois composer and performer, he traces a personal line between minimalism, neoclassical, and contemporary writing, with a way of playing that lets silences breathe, prolongs the resonances, and places acoustics at the center.
Since Il, recorded at his home in Montreal while preserving the sounds of daily life, Blais has cultivated this sonic proximity, giving the impression of being just a few centimeters from the keys. His forays into more electronic textures, notably with the EP Cascades co-signed with CFCF, and his more recent releases such as Aubades or Sérénades, sketch a live set in motion, oscillating between composed pieces and suspended moments. An evening conceived for those who enjoy music that unfolds at its own pace.
