Info
Mathieu Madénian returns to the Salle Marcillet with a new show that looks at current events from a human perspective—the perspective of a guy whose life was genuinely upended by the arrival of a baby. On stage, he doesn’t play the model dad: he talks about sleepless nights, back-to-back diaper changes, the doubts that creep in at bottle time, and the small joys that arrive when your schedule explodes. His playground is the present, the news as it falls, and life moving too fast, but filtered through the eye of a new father. You’ll hear his dry punchlines, the self-deprecation that grates, and this way of catching a detail of everyday life to zoom out to the bigger picture—from the couple to society, from the stroller to a world that stalls. With a microphone in hand, he unfolds a straightforward stand-up, unforced, where the intimate and the collective answer each other. A fourth installment, halfway between a chronicle of the era and a logbook of parenthood.
