Nass el Ghiwane makes a stop in Brussels on November 19, 2026 for a concert at the Novum, carrying with them a story that goes far beyond a simple repertoire. Born in the early 1970s in the working-class neighborhoods of Casablanca, the group shook Moroccan urban music by marrying singing in Darija, Malhoun poetry, Gnawa resonances and a Sufi breath. On stage, the texts are anchored in daily life, the condition of the working class, spirituality or inner exile, carried by a collective dynamic: traditional percussion, string instruments, choirs that respond and drive the performance forward. Even if the lineup has evolved over the years, the spirit remains the same: a troupe's music, born from theater, that speaks as much to the body as to memory, and that continues to be transmitted in concert.
