Info
On November 21, 2026, at the British Airways Club Lounge in Longford, Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves team up to celebrate John Coltrane, with that rare mix of muscle and finesse you only get when two seasoned storytellers share the same stage.
Marsalis comes in with the sharp, singing tone that made his name from early days with Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers to the long-running Branford Marsalis Quartet. Rooted in hard bop and post-bop but never boxed in, he brings the kind of melodic clarity and collective improvisation that naturally nods to Coltrane’s legacy without turning it into a museum piece.
Reeves answers with a voice built for jazz risk-taking: supple phrasing, deep groove, and an ease with improvisation shaped by years of major collaborations and a Grammy-stamped career. Expect a concert where standards and spirit matter as much as the moment, and where Coltrane’s shadow becomes a place to play, not a rule to follow.
