On September 26, 2026, Second Summer Festival brings MIKE to The Mod Club in Toronto for a night built around his particular brand of introspective rap. Moving between New Jersey, London, Philly and New York, MIKE (Michael Jordan Bonema) has shaped a sound where lo-fi textures, dusty jazz loops and a measured, almost monotone flow leave plenty of room for detail and emotion. Since breaking out with early self-released tapes and the first key run from May God Bless Your Hustle through War in My Pen and Tears of Joy, he’s kept a steady pace, staying independent and in control via his 10k imprint.
Expect a set that pulls from the more recent chapters too, like Beware of the Monkey and Burning Desire, with that everyday, community-minded writing he’s known for: mental health, movement, and the small moments that hit hard when the beat is stripped back. The bill also includes support from Jaywood, Lord Sko, and Jon Green.
