Info
Van Morrison will be in concert on 3 November 2026 at Usher Hall in Edinburgh. A singer-songwriter born in Belfast, he has forged a distinctive style of his own, nourished by blues, gospel, jazz, and country, with a highly free sense of phrasing. First identified in the mid-1960s as the lead singer of Them, he left a lasting imprint with 'Gloria', before breaking out on his own as early as 1967 with 'Brown Eyed Girl'.
On stage, one finds this typical blend of soul, folk, R&B and Celtic traditions, as crystallised on Astral Weeks and Moondance, and then stretched across a prolific discography. Van Morrison moves between tight formats and longer, more open pieces, where improvisation and the voice take precedence. A frequent collaborator (from The Chieftains to John Lee Hooker), he continues to refresh his repertoire, from his more recent albums to Moving On Skiffle, without renouncing what defines his signature.
