Van Morrison returns to the stage on October 27, 2026 at the Plymouth Arena in Plymouth, for a concert centered on that raspy yet supple voice that bridged rhythm and blues, soul, folk and jazz. Born in Belfast, he first established himself as the singer of Them in the mid-1960s, with a raw R&B energy that still marks the way he attacks a phrase. As a solo artist, he quickly broadened the frame, from the pop efficiency of 'Brown Eyed Girl' to more expansive and inward records like Astral Weeks, before the warmer groove of Moondance. On stage, his repertoire moves effortlessly between tighter songs and longer pieces, carried by a vocal approach close to improvisation, nourished by gospel and blues. His discography, particularly dense, has never ceased to add chapters, with recent albums up to Moving On Skiffle, while keeping this same signature: music that moves by feel, between American traditions and Celtic echoes.
