Info
Lucinda Williams comes to Montréal with her band for a concert on October 11, 2026 at Théâtre Beanfield. Since the late 1970s, the Louisiana singer-songwriter has been carving out her own lane where country, folk, blues, rock and Americana naturally collide, carried by a voice that never tries to smooth things over. Raised across the South, she writes like someone who’s lived the miles: roads, small towns, ordinary lives, sharp memories, and the quiet weight of everyday stories.
From her early recordings Ramblin’ on My Mind and Happy Woman Blues to the turning points of Lucinda Williams and Sweet Old World, she’s built a catalogue that other artists have long borrowed from, before expanding her sound on Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. The more recent run, from Essence and World Without Tears through West, The Ghosts of Highway 20 and Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart, keeps the same direct songwriting at the center. Onstage, with her band, those songs stretch out and hit with a raw, grounded intensity.
