Info
On 12 December 2026 at Monroe's Tavern in Galway, Alabama 3 strip things back and hit the road in Acoustic mode, with nothing but a worn-in guitar, a harmonica and that Brixton-bred sense of mischief. It’s not a polite unplugged detour: the band reworks its hybrid DNA (country, blues, gospel grit and a leftfield British attitude) into a raw, narco-acoustic take that nods to delta slide traditions and the roots that shaped them.
Rock Freebase brings a playing style built on the lineage of Mississippi Fred McDowell and other deep-blues touchstones, twisting it with banjo-like picking and an urban edge. Up front, Larry Love’s roughened vocals carry the songs with swagger, while Devlin Love’s chorus lines add warmth and lift. Nick Reynolds threads it all together on harmonica, leaning hard into the blues and keeping the set punchy and alive. Expect Alabama 3’s songs and inspirations, retooled for close-up impact rather than volume.
