An extraordinary musical experience: Magma, a cult band, unfolds on stage a powerful and visionary work at the crossroads of genres and eras. Born of influences and confluences, of pulsions and impulses, outside fashion and currents, Magma's music has radically set itself apart from that of its contemporaries.
Founded in 1969 by the demiurge drummer Christian Vander, the band's influence extends worldwide, across decades and across generations, surprising audiences in China as well as the Hellfest crowd, performing at jazz and rock festivals around the world but also at the Opéra de Monaco with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. Dozens of albums, hundreds of concerts, and even its own language—the origin of a musical movement inspiring countless young musicians—Magma's music is universal, unique and eternally at the avant-garde.
