Rizzle Kicks

Rizzle Kicks head to Rock City in Nottingham on 16 November 2026. Formed in Brighton by Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule, the duo pairs quick-tongued rap with sung refrains, threading British hip-hop, pop rap and a splash of UK garage. They came up through AudioActive and the BRIT School, built a following with early demos and videos, then signed to Island for Stereo Typical (2011), a debut shaped by everyday storytelling and unfussy, groove-led production. Roaring 20s (2013) widened the palette with fuller arrangements and shades of soul and funk, alongside link-ups with names from across UK pop.

After a break in the mid-2010s to explore solo paths, Rizzle Kicks regrouped in 2024 and returned to the studio. The third album, Competition Is for Losers (2025), reconnects with their original chemistry, tightening the interplay between bars and melodies while leaning on crisp drums and bass. On stage, the set draws across all three records, flipping between call-and-response hooks, conversational verses and beats rooted in classic hip-hop patterns. Expect a concise snapshot of where the pair began, where they paused, and where the project now sits—delivered with the Brighton-born back-and-forth that defines them.
