An atypical artist who has developed a sound all his own. Upercent, whose real name is José Molés Martínez, was born and raised in Valencia. He delivers powerful techno that is both emotive and visceral, built from samples of various organic instruments and composed with inventive arrangements. A musician since 2000, he has extensive studio experience and DJ expertise nourished by the free spirit of jazz, combined with the possibilities offered by electronic music. Upercent’s distinctive vision has led him to release on labels such as Innervisions, Kompakt, Watergate, TAU and Diynamic.
Upercent is hardworking, methodical, passionate and deeply committed to his sound, determined to remain singular and true to himself. Driven by the same passion he had as a child, he continues to explore electronic music and organic sounds, integrating visuals and live performance into his world.
