There is joy and determination in the funk/soul/hip-hop universe. Live proof: Youngblood Brass Band, purveyors of grooves since 1998. This collective seizes every opportunity—on stage, in the studio (with Talib Kweli), or running workshops at universities. On the agenda: good vibes, rhythms and rhymes, and a bit of history too—the story of New Orleans, of jazz improvisation, and of hip-hop culture.
