People in Tune - Reggae

On August 14, 2026, The Wailers will perform at Wytwórnia in Łódź as part of People in Tune. The band arrives with the "50 Years of Positive Vibrations" tour, presented to mark the 50th anniversary of the album Rastaman Vibration. The concert will feature songs from that record as well as tracks that for years have formed the core of the group’s repertoire. There will also be Wailers classics played with the energy and precision that sound best live.

The Wailers are a formation that emerged from the Bob Marley & The Wailers collective, tending to its sound and language for decades. Today the band is led by Aston Barrett Jr., son of bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett, who anchors the ensemble with a powerful rhythm section and ensures the character of the original recordings is preserved in the current stage arrangements. Vocal harmonies and a pulsing groove drive the narrative here, and the group skillfully blends older material with a contemporary approach to rhythm and arrangement. The Łódź show promises to be a full-scale encounter with living reggae history, delivered with intense concert energy and close to the genre’s roots.
