Info

On 18 October 2026 at Soul Mama Islington, London, Jamaican singer Etana brings her blend of reggae, soul, folk and jazz to the stage. Born Shauna McKenzie in Kingston and raised in Florida, she shaped her voice between the US and Jamaica before returning to Kingston to craft roots-driven songs with a warm, steady presence. From early singles like Wrong Address and Roots to her debut album The Strong One, she’s built a catalogue that navigates social themes, spirituality and intimacy, with tracks such as I Am Not Afraid and Warrior Love becoming staples.

The path continued with Free Expressions and I Rise, the latter topping the Billboard Reggae chart and marking the first time in seventeen years that a Jamaican woman led the ranking. Reggae Forever brought a Grammy nomination and affirmed her place alongside the contemporary reggae wave. Recent projects include Pamoja, featuring Vybz Kartel, Damian Marley and Stonebwoy, and the EP Dimensions. In Islington, she lines up signature anthems with new cuts from Nectar of the Gods, carried by her distinctive timbre and grounded lyricism.
