Info
The Proclaimers land at Cambridge Corn Exchange in Cambridge on 3 November 2026. Formed in 1983 by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, the Scottish duo began as a bare-bones acoustic act before expanding to a full band set-up. Their sound folds folk rock, roots and pop with a dash of punk energy, built on close harmonies, plainspoken lyrics and a singing style that keeps their Scottish accent front and centre.
On stage, they move easily between stripped-back moments and driving, full-band songs. The set draws on early milestones like This Is the Story (1987) and Sunshine on Leith (1988), with Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Sunshine on Leith now part of the communal singalong canon. The journey continued with Hit the Highway (1994), the comeback of Persevere (2001), then Born Innocent (2003) with Edwyn Collins at the controls.
Regular touring across the UK, North America and Australia has kept their catalogue alive and rotating. In recent years, albums like Life with You (2007), Notes & Rhymes (2009), Like Comedy (2012), Angry Cyclist (2018) and Dentures Out (2022) have refreshed the setlists, mixing personal tales, social snapshots and political notes. A long-running partnership that still prizes direct songwriting and voices that lock together, up close or at full volume.
