Skunk Anansie - Locus Festival 2026

Skunk Anansie return to Italy for the Locus Festival: on 24 July 2026 the band led by Skin will take the stage at the Fiera del Levante in Bari, exclusively for the South. Formed in London in 1994, Skin, Ace, Cass and Mark Richardson have shaped a sound that blends alternative rock, hard rock, punk and metal, with touches of funk and dub. Their set can pair classics from Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh and Post Orgasmic Chill with tracks from Wonderlustre, Black Traffic and Anarchytecture, with Skin’s voice moving between singing, spoken-word and rougher, raspier tones.

Lyrics that address power, identity, race, sexuality and religion remain at the heart of a direct, compact set designed for the live stage. After the early-2000s hiatus and their 2009 reunion, the group has established a steady live presence across Europe: in Bari they bring that no-frills blend that made them distinct, featuring taut riffs, solid rhythms and a close rapport with the audience. It’s an opportunity to traverse every phase of their history, from their debut to the most recent chapters, within the framework of the Locus Festival.
