Info
Goran Bregović built his name in 1970s Sarajevo as the guitarist and songwriter behind Bijelo Dugme, before shifting to composition and a signature blend where Balkan traditions meet Roma grooves, brass bands, choirs and pop-rock frameworks. His work with Emir Kusturica on Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream and Underground opened a steady run of film scores, from La Reine Margot to Train de vie, and shaped a repertoire that moves easily between cinema and the stage. Since the 2000s he has toured with his Weddings and Funerals Orchestra, a flexible setup mixing voices, winds and regional instruments, and released albums such as Tales and Songs from Weddings and Funerals, Alkohol, Champagne for Gypsies and Three Letters from Sarajevo.
On 5 November 2026 at Filadelfia Convention Center in Stockholm, Bregović appears with a live ensemble that shifts from intimate choral lines to punchy fanfares, weaving themes from his soundtracks with material from his solo catalog. A set rooted in the Balkans, open to Mediterranean currents, and driven by arrangements built for the stage.
