DJ Negro, Linapary

DJ Negro, whose real name is Félix Rodríguez, was born on May 18, 1968, in La Perla, San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is recognized as one of the key figures in the emergence of reggaetón, both for his work as a DJ and for his ability to promote the genre in its early stages.

During the 1980s and 1990s he played a central role in the Puerto Rican underground scene, a movement in which Spanish‑language rap began to merge with Caribbean rhythms. DJ Negro was the creator of the production series The Noise, a fundamental platform that served to develop and disseminate reggaetón in its nascent phase.

His name is especially linked to the The Noise compilations, which gave visibility to new talents and gathered tracks that defined a generation. He also worked closely with Vico C, considered a pioneer of Spanish‑language rap, contributing to the production of several of his most influential songs.

His vision and work were decisive in establishing the foundations of reggaetón as both a musical genre and a cultural phenomenon, and in launching many of the artists who would define its sound in the early years.

Linapary is a DJ, singer and producer who is part of the scene shaping the sounds of today’s Latin club movement.

Born on Colombia’s Caribbean coast and based in Madrid, she conveys a “girl power” attitude through a mix of perreo, guaracha and tribal influences. Her sets and performances move from romantic and melancholic atmospheres to songs of self‑affirmation, with messages of inclusion and a focus on the dancefloor.

A collaborative artist, Linapary has worked with Chico Sonido, Aleroj, CRRDR, 2AT, Simo Cell, Low Jack, DJ Gap, Bzzhound, Chico Unicornio and EMG Beats, among others. These collaborations have placed her at the center of the alter‑aleteo–perreo–Latin club movement, noted for its diversity and its resonance with queer audiences.
