Info

On 19 February 2028 at 2:00 PM, at Reims Arena, Romeo & Juliet will be staged. Translated into 18 languages and performed in 20 countries, this French musical has attracted more than 11 million spectators. Launched in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès, where it drew nearly 2.5 million spectators, the work was from the start led by the duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara. The show now brings that original duo back on stage.

For Cécilia Cara, returning with Romeo & Juliet recalls her debut at 15 in the role of Juliet. Reprising it twenty years later alongside Damien Sargue is a continuation of their journey, enriched by the experience they have gained over the years. The story continues to unite audiences around love and emotion. Damien Sargue emphasizes that this role has accompanied him since 2001 and that performing it again with Cécilia gives the show a new perspective.

With more than 9 million records sold and songs that have become part of French pop culture—such as "Les Rois du monde" and "Aimer"—Romeo & Juliet has established a lasting presence. For nearly 25 years, the production has traveled across cultures and adapted to its era, while preserving its songs and identity.

For Gérard Presgurvic, this universal and timeless love story raises a topical question: how far are we willing to go for love?

The return announced for 2027 comes with a reimagined version that incorporates new generational codes while preserving the essence of the show: a timeless story, universal emotions, and a distinctive musical signature. This revival includes a new cast, new costumes, and new set design, all conceived for today.
