Roméo & Juliette will be presented on 25 March 2028 at 7:30 PM at the LDLC Arena. Roméo & Juliette has already captivated more than 11 million spectators worldwide. The show has been translated into 18 languages and performed in 20 countries. Launched in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès, it gathered nearly 2.5 million spectators there. Originally brought to life by the duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara, Roméo & Juliette allows the public to see its original pairing back on stage.

For Cécilia, returning with Roméo & Juliette is moving. “I was chosen at 15 to play Juliette, a formative role that marked the beginning of my life as an artist. Finding her again twenty years later, alongside Damien, was a very powerful moment, as if we had never been apart but enriched by everything life has given us. This return has a symbolic value: closing the loop, coming back to where it all began, with 25 years of experience that now feed the characters differently. The story continues to bring people together, to convey love and emotion. It is a great joy and a deep gratitude to find Juliette and the audience again.”

In the same vein, Damien adds: returning after taking Roméo & Juliette around the world, notably in Asia, has a particular resonance. “This role has accompanied me since 2001, and finding it again today alongside Cécilia, with the perspective and maturity that time has given us, gives this adventure a new depth.”

With more than 9 million records sold and songs that have become landmarks of French pop culture, including Les Rois du monde and Aimer, Roméo & Juliette has made its mark on the history of musical theatre. For nearly 25 years, the show has travelled across cultures and adapted to the changes of its time: new technologies, new staging codes, new audience expectations. Faithful to its DNA while renewing itself, it retains what defines it: well-known songs, a large-scale aesthetic and a strong sense of spectacle.

For Gérard Presgurvic, Roméo & Juliette remains a great love story. Universal and timeless, it raises a question that is always relevant: how far are we willing to go for love? Shakespeare answers it with a force that crosses the centuries, and it is this emotion that we continue to share with the public. The presence of Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara brings a new depth to the production, nourished by the experience they have acquired.

The show returns in a reworked version, incorporating new generational codes while preserving the essence that has made it successful for a quarter of a century: a timeless story, universal emotions and a distinctive musical signature. This comeback comes with a new cast, new costumes and a new scenography, rethought for today without altering the DNA of the production.
