Aura with Freddy K

Aura opens a new chapter on 17 April 2026 at fi in Köln with Freddy K at the controls. Active since the early 1990s in Rome’s techno scene, he cut his first 12"s on ACV and ran the Virus radio show before relocating to Berlin to focus on DJing and label work. As head of Key Vinyl, he pushes club-focused EPs and gives room to emerging producers from across Europe.

Behind the decks, Freddy K shapes long, physical journeys built on a direct, repetitive strain of techno at brisk tempos. He links 90s tools with fresh cuts, favors a dark, linear and functional drive, and works the mix with patience, letting pressure rise and fall without gimmicks. Regular appearances at institutions like Berghain and Tresor, as well as on festival stages, have honed that extended approach where flow and intensity management come first.
