Since 2001, Roméo & Juliette, Gérard Presgurvic’s musical after Shakespeare, has toured from stage to stage and continues to draw large audiences. Anchored by songs that have become familiar—such as “Les Rois du monde” and “Aimer”—the production rests on effective musical writing and a story that relentlessly questions how far one will go for love.

Cécilia Cara returns to Juliet with the perspective gained from her years as an artist. Revealed at a very young age in this defining role, she now reprises it, bringing an experience that adds depth to the character and her stakes. Her comeback gives the heroine a fresh dimension, blending momentum, vulnerability and determination.

Opposite her, Damien Sargue reprises Romeo, a role he has carried since the show’s beginnings. Having taken the production abroad, he comes back with a more measured interpretation, nourished by time and touring. The pair restore their onstage rapport in service of this tragic love story.
