Roméo & Juliette

Roméo & Juliette, the musical by Gérard Presgurvic, returns to the stage on 18 February 2028 at the Reims Arena in Reims. Since 2001, the original pairing of Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara has left its mark on Roméo and Juliette, two roles they have shaped over the years and during international tours. The show has grown with them, without losing the pop energy that first brought it to prominence nor the emotional power of Shakespeare’s text.

It features a now-familiar musical signature, songs such as “Les Rois du Monde” and “Aimer,” and choruses supported by orchestration designed for the stage. This updated version rests on a renewed cast, new costumes and a reworked stage design, while preserving the show’s DNA. Between heritage and a contemporary outlook, the artistic team continues to explore a simple, direct question: how far are we willing to go for love?

Roméo & Juliette remains a showcase for performers, where acting and singing place the story front and center, in a production that reinvents itself while staying true to the qualities that have made it powerful since its beginnings.
