Abdelkader Secteur « Marhaba »

Abdelkader Secteur returns with Marhaba, his third one-man show, and will be at the Comédie de Lille on May 10, 2026. Faithful to a stand-up grounded in observations of everyday life, he strings together family anecdotes, neighborhood stories and social situations, with vividly drawn characters and echoes of his back-and-forth between Algeria and France. On stage he keeps a simple setup to favour pace and direct engagement with the audience, using asides, well-timed silences and vocal shifts.

Marhaba presents new material written specifically for this tour, in a narrative close to conversation that mixes confidences, character sketches and the small frictions of real life. The show is performed in a colloquial Arabic dialect, with particular attention to the expressions and accents that bring the scenes and characters to life. Touring France since 2024, Abdelkader Secteur continues here with precise, accessible writing, attentive to cultural nuances and the everyday details that make up daily life.
