On 23 April 2026 at Point Éphémère in Paris, Turzi Gage celebrates the release of Drop!. After a critically acclaimed trilogy of albums and ten years in retreat, Romain Turzi takes the reins: he composes and produces this new record, fronted by longtime friend Oliver Gage. His autobiographical, melancholic songwriting runs through tracks that, in concert, glide effortlessly from oblique pop to club-ready numbers, oscillating between synthetic pulses and misty guitars.
The invoked influences map out a wide terrain: the school of film music (Goblin, Angelo Badalamenti), electronic and techno avant-gardes (808 State, Dopplereffekt), the hedonistic British scene of the ’80s (Happy Mondays, Stone Roses), the melodies of timeless folk singers (Woody Guthrie, Neil Young), and the sonic power of My Bloody Valentine or Andrew Weatherall’s productions. Drop! presents itself as an album of friendship and creative freedom, conceived to escape the weight of the present.
