Portland-based multi-instrumentalist and producer quickly, quickly, known as Graham Jonson, crafts a fluid psychedelic pop in which melodic instinct guides everything. His recent album, I Heard That Noise, draws on the intimacy of folk and pushes the songwriting toward a bolder sonic conception: guitars and piano with broad textures, sophisticated harmonies, unexpected chord changes and bursts of distortion. Echoes of Phil Elverum, Dijon and Nick Drake surface without ever constraining the frame, balancing a beat/downtempo heritage with a songwriter’s sensibility. The palette ranges from subdued ballads to more frenzied climaxes, always sustained by a precise and sensitive atmosphere.

On stage, quickly, quickly unfolds these contrasts with a warm, immersive set. Keyboards and guitars with jazzy inflections, supple grooves and vocals shaded in light and shadow come together in a dynamic that alternates restraint and controlled eruptions, between hi‑fi precision and handcrafted energy.
