The Kik: Boudewijn de Grootste Hits

On 10 July 2026 The Kik will bring their programme The Kik: Boudewijn de Grootste Hits to Caprera in Bloemendaal. The Rotterdam band casts their characteristic Nederbeat lens on Boudewijn de Groot’s repertoire: sharp guitars, warm organ tones and close-harmony choruses, with the Dutch language as the obvious centrepiece. Led by singer and guitarist Dave von Raven, the band plays as a compact pop formation—guitars, bass, drums, keyboards—using the sixties energy that defines The Kik to let the songs speak clearly.

Since their early years with Springlevend and their period as the house band for De Wereld Draait Door, The Kik have developed a confident approach to reinterpretation. You hear that in the way they treat classics from De Groot’s catalogue: attentive to melody and lyrics, tightly arranged, without letting go of the songs’ heart. In this way the familiar choruses and narrative verses gain a fresh contour, carried by the supple playing and timing of a band that has language, tradition and pop sensibility at its fingertips.
