Cool Aid have resisted being put in any box since 2019. Between indie pop, R&B, disco-funk and synthpop, the five musicians have developed a sonic aesthetic they call Newtro — a blend of contemporary and vintage-influenced elements. With songs like "You Fall in Love Too Easily" (2021) and "Guitar for Robots" (2023), the band drew attention beyond the German scene and have already taken their style to numerous stages at home and abroad.
With their debut album Fragments, Cool Aid open a new chapter. The tracks move between soft rock, synthpop and indie pop, tackle personal experiences and social themes, and fit together like individual pieces into a cohesive whole. Live, they translate this into an approachable presence that invites a shared experience of their songs.
On 28 March 2026, Cool Aid bring the Fragments tour to the stage at Elfer in Frankfurt am Main — performing new songs and familiar singles in their Newtro sound.
