Clarise Volkov
From here or elsewhere, her traces are nothing but glitches; her presence and passage have been erased, leaving only fragments. Volkov operates like a bug, a line of faulty code, a parasitic frequency or an active interference no one can fix. Behind her name is Cathode Muzic: a label without a story. Only signals remain, cold, clinical and impossible to catalogue. All that subsists are hypnotic sonic communiqués, raw and indecipherable. Clarise Volkov is a furtive signature, a low-frequency war, a sonic refusal or simply sabotage. Who speaks when no one listens anymore? What remains when music becomes merely a product? When resistance beats to the rhythm of machines, Volkov hears it.
Laurent Hô aka Ingler
A DJ on Radio FG in 1991 and close to the rave scene throughout the 1990s, he later performed in clubs and festivals across Europe. In 1994 he adopted the hardcore techno alias Ingler and founded the first French hardcore techno label, Epiteth Records. In 1995 he played at the Astropolis festival alongside Liza 'N' Eliaz. In 1997 he founded the label Uncivilized World (UW), then co-founded Uncivilized World Entertainment (UWe) and its techno divisions ANLX and Human. He served as a resident DJ at the Rex Club for eight years during the 2000s, focusing on techno and electro. His main collaborations include Auto Tropp (with Benoît Bollini) and Neroptic (with Radium), as well as work with Liza 'N' Eliaz, Randy, Jennifer Cardini, The Genie and Muriel Moreno—on his own labels and on international labels such as Industrial Strength Records, Shockwave, Six Sixty Six, Headfuck and Zero Music.
Ottobass
An activist in electronic music since the 1990s, he has participated in countless parties and festivals between Paris and Normandy. An active member of Washin Mashin and numerous associations, he opened his record shop in Caen in the 2000s. In 2021 he founded the duo Depeche Core with Clarise Volkov. His musical spectrum is broad, ranging from new wave to techno, including electro, acid house, EBM and new beat.
R'1
He discovered electronic music in the early 1990s and began collecting records. Influenced by the French DJs of that era, he quickly moved behind the decks. Co-founder of Solar Family and an active member of the Caen association M.A.D Brains from 2021 to 2025, he joined the Second Wave project in 2026 and contributed to its development. His sets fluctuate between house and techno, depending on the venue and the atmosphere.
Zorp Hardsquare
A multi-instrumentalist from the industrial metal culture, he became involved in electronic music in the 1990s. In 1998, KI² aka Hardsquare founded the Zorp label and initiated the ZDK record shop in Caen. From 1998 to 2020 he collaborated with labels such as Xp Digiflex, Full Bass, MST, Les Enfants Sages, Blanc Comme Neige and others. He has played numerous events alongside essential artists like Lenny Dee, Laurent Hô, DJ Producer, Lunatic Asylum, Hybrid, Jeff23, FKY and Alcore. In 2021 he co-founded the Cathode Muzic label with K21-Kroma. In 2022 he produced the triple vinyl album Lux in collaboration with the Hymen label. Hard to categorize, he has established a personal style that has become his trademark, sprinkled with hypnotic, oppressive and dark industrial atmospheres that filter through powerful DJ sets.
