Carpenter Brut

Carpenter Brut will perform at La Belle Électrique in Grenoble on October 29, 2026. Behind this name, the French producer has been shaping, since the early 2010s, a taut blend of electro, metal and 80s aesthetics—somewhere between a B-movie soundtrack, a shadowy club and razor‑sharp riffs. Fueled as much by John Carpenter and Dario Argento as by Slayer or Justice, he crafts a coherent, dark and stylized world at the intersection of retro thriller, glam‑metal and a futuristic dystopia.

With Leather Temple he closes the trilogy begun with Leather Teeth (2018) and continued with Leather Terror (2022). The project was conceived as a concept album and the faux soundtrack to an imaginary film, extended through post‑apocalyptic imagery. Live, Carpenter Brut amplifies this cinematic aspect with a show that combines machines, guitars, lights and projections for a direct, physical experience—uncompromising and immediate. This date showcases the most electric side of synthwave, driven by aggressive synths, martial rhythms and a visual narrative that fully comes alive on stage.
