Info

Bun Hay Mean, aka 'the Funny Chinese', brings his stand-up to the Théâtre Royal Mons on 11 April 2026. A French comedian with a sharp tongue, he plays with clichés, codes and identities, turning them into a playground for comedy. On stage he delivers a direct voice — a mix of self-deprecation, everyday observation and situations where cultures collide. His trademark is improvisation and rapport with the audience: one joke leads to another, the audience becomes a partner, and each show takes on its own colour. In Chinois marrant he dissects small habits, prejudices and contemporary misunderstandings without positioning himself as a moralizer, relying instead on that sense of timing and quick-witted comebacks that continually drive the narrative forward. Between dry punchlines, unexpected asides and controlled digressions, Bun Hay Mean unfolds a lively, contemporary stand-up in which we laugh at what brings us together as much as at what unsettles us. See you in Mons for an evening where the energy on stage puts the present front and centre.
