Thibault Cauvin

Info

Thibault Cauvin opens a new chapter with an album made up entirely of original pieces and a tour conceived as an intimate journey. His classical guitar traces freer lines here, blending acoustic colors with influences gathered along the road. Text sometimes finds its way into the music, creating tableaux in which sound and speech answer one another. On 2 June 2026, he will stop at the Théâtre Sébastopol in Lille to present this repertoire on stage.

A multi-award-winning guitarist with 36 international distinctions, Thibault has performed on stages in 130 countries. The rock energy he inherited from his father has driven him to break out of conventional frameworks and to address varied audiences. His collaborations, including a recent duo with -M-, have nourished his taste for encounters and hybrid formats. His projects often spring from stories picked up on the road, like a meeting in Hong Kong with a taxi driver named Wong — a memory that feeds his imagination.

On stage, Thibault cultivates closeness and a sense of the moment. His playing—precise, at times minimal, at others expansive—takes listeners on a journey across eras and styles without borders. Following the publication of his first novel, Alter Ego, this concert in Lille extends an artistic adventure that connects music, narrative and performance, closely aligned with his writing today.
