Info
On May 28, 2027, O2 Academy Islington in London hosts a double bill built for fans of metalcore that hits hard but still hangs onto big hooks.
Memphis May Fire come in with their trademark balance: heavy, tight riffing and those clean, chant-ready choruses driven by Matty Mullins. From the darker edge of The Hollow to the more direct punch of Challenger and the renewed aggression of Remade in Misery, their set is made for the constant back-and-forth between breakdown pressure and melodic lift, with a modern hard rock sheen when it suits the song.
Dead by April bring their Gothenburg take on modern metal, where pop-sharp choruses collide with screamed passages and electronic textures. Built around the contrast of clean vocals and harsh parts, they’ve kept evolving through lineup changes, lately leaning into contemporary production and new material tied to The Affliction, without dropping that instantly recognizable singalong core.
