Info
On January 31, 2027, Friendly Fires bring their Album Launch Show to Chalk in Brighton, putting the spotlight on Dig Deeper. Expect the band’s signature mix of indie rock and indietronica, built for bodies in motion: tight, elastic basslines, shimmering guitars, and Ed Macfarlane’s agile vocals riding the groove rather than sitting on top of it.
Dig Deeper reconnects with what made Friendly Fires hit in the first place, that dance-punk and nu-disco pulse where pop songwriting meets club tension, but with the confidence of a band that’s been through reinvention, hiatus, and a proper return to form. Live, their tracks stretch out, synth textures snap into place, and the rhythm section does the heavy lifting, turning melodies into something you feel in your legs. This Brighton date is a direct chance to hear the new material land in the room, alongside the sleek, kinetic energy that’s defined Friendly Fires since their earliest releases.
