On 12 June 2026 at the Barbican Centre in London, Panafrica in Rhythm brings together artists who channel Pan-African sound through live collaboration. Co-hosted by drummer and producer Moses Boyd and DJ-curator Jamz Supernova, the concert asks each act to respond to artworks from Project a Black Planet, turning the stage into a conversation between music, memory and image.
The lineup stretches across scenes and generations: Asheber & The Afrikan Revolution, Bonita x SLICKnBOBBY present Dub vs Cumbia, Jas Kayser introducing Emma Fuzia, Jamz Supernova, Jerry Brown, Kwake Bass, Moses Boyd, Steam Down and friends. Sets move from hand‑drummed cadences and chants to dub echoes, cumbia patterns, jazz phrasing and bass-heavy club textures, mapping routes that run from Nyabinghi roots to London’s diasporic collectives.
Built on improvisation and shared rhythms, the night lets tradition and experimentation sit side by side. Each performer brings their own lineage and future-facing ideas, meeting on common ground to shape a living snapshot of Pan-African music in the UK.
