JeanJass

JeanJass shaped his rap in a group before setting out on his own. Born in 1988, he discovered the microphone with Exodarap, then took a personal turn with Goldman in 2014. His encounter with Caballero changed the game: Double Hélice (2016) laid the foundations for a long-lasting duo, which went on to release several projects. At the same time, he built a solo discography in which production occupies a central place. Sampling and digging structure his sound, guided by a simple conviction: if the beat doesn't hold, the track won't either. This exacting approach also led him to other roles, as a producer and studio partner.

With Doudoune en été (2022), initially conceived as an EP and later becoming an album, he allowed himself a more spontaneous writing process—“not overthinking things, just finishing the tracks and really listening to himself.” Since then he has multiplied collaborations and refined his palette: Déjeuner en paix (2023) with Mairo, SCOPE (2024) with Keroué, Cognac & Cigarettes (2024) with Jungle Jack. On March 6, 2027, at Rock School Barbey in Bordeaux, he revisits this trajectory live: precise flow, polished productions, and the collective energy inherited from his beginnings, oscillating between the shared legacy with Caballero and the introspective side of his recent projects.
