Wilco brings A Tour With Wilco to Eventim Apollo, London, on 20 August 2026. Formed in Chicago in 1994 after the Uncle Tupelo split, the band has coalesced around songwriter Jeff Tweedy and bassist John Stirratt, settling as a six-piece over time. Early records leaned into alt-country and americana on A.M., then widened the frame with Being There and Summerteeth, where folk-rock writing rubbed against denser pop textures. A bolder turn arrived with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born, folding bare melodies, electric tension and a taste for sonic grit into the American rock lineage. The arrival of guitarist Nels Cline in 2004 pushed the group further into open terrain on stage and in the studio, a thread running through Sky Blue Sky, The Whole Love and, lately, Cruel Country and Cousin.

On this tour, the setlist draws across three decades, moving from quiet confessionals to elastic jams and sharp, noise-tinged guitars. Songs stretch and breathe without losing their core, with improvisation used as a way to tilt familiar material into new shapes.
