On January 29, 2027 at the British Airways Club Lounge in Longford, The Psychedelic Furs team up with The Jesus and Mary Chain for a night that links two key strains of UK guitar music: post-punk nerves, dark pop hooks, and distortion-heavy romance.
Led by brothers Richard and Tim Butler, The Psychedelic Furs bring that instantly recognizable mix of tense guitars, roaming basslines, keys and sax touches, carried by Richard Butler’s rough-edged vocal. Expect a set that moves between their early post-punk drive and the more melodic new wave/alternative side that made songs like Pretty in Pink, Love My Way, The Ghost in You and Heaven stick.
The Jesus and Mary Chain, built around Jim and William Reid since 1983, come with their signature collision of tight pop songwriting and abrasive guitars. From the buzz of Psychocandy through the leaner mood of Darklands and the later shifts in pace and texture, their live show is still about that push-pull: sweet melody, loud feedback, and a steady sense of tension.
