Kingfishr bring their Irish folk‑indie craft to O2 Academy Birmingham on 16 May 2026. Formed in Limerick during their university years, the trio unites singer‑guitarist Eddie Keogh with bandmates McGoo and Fitz around songs that fuse melodic folk, a light alt‑rock edge and discreet indie‑pop touches. Close harmonies, acoustic‑led arrangements and restrained percussion carry lyrics that roam from open landscapes to family ties and the slide into adulthood. Shared online before a run of releases, tracks like Flowers‑Fire and Anyway set the tone with wide choruses and patient builds. On stage, the group has grown from small rooms to festival slots across Ireland and the UK, keeping things direct and unvarnished while leaning into those steady swells that land well live.
