Kraftwerk

Info

Kraftwerk bring their precision electronics to The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on 25 May 2026. Formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the group moved from krautrock experiments to a lean, melodic approach with Autobahn, then outlined a clear language with Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World and Electric Café. Themes of technology, travel and everyday modern life run through processed voices, sequenced rhythms and pared-back synth lines.

On stage today, under the direction of Ralf Hütter, Kraftwerk present a show built around image, synchronization and a live reworking of their catalogue. At their consoles, they align sound, graphics and light with exact timing, giving their tracks a fresh, focused edge without losing their pulse. From the highway drift of Autobahn to the clipped funk of Computer World and the cadence of Tour de France Soundtracks, the set draws a clean line through decades of robot pop, where vocoders, motorik grooves and electronic textures slot into place. In Glasgow, they revisit and reshape their own blueprint.
