Live Echo : Marcus Gad

On 18 November 2026 at Le Transbordeur in Villeurbanne, Marcus Gad returns to the stage with Tribe to present a new album and a set built for the road. Originally from New Caledonia, the singer has been developing since the mid-2010s a roots reggae nourished by spirituality and Kanak culture, with a strong connection to nature. On stage, his clear voice anchors itself in a slow, deep groove, with percussion and basslines to the fore, backing vocals and acoustic colors, and breaths that verge on dub. Between songs in English and in French, his lyrics tackle ecology, colonial legacies and social issues without equivocation. Around him, Tribe, formed between New Caledonia and Europe, carries these compositions with supple precision and a collective sensibility that builds tension track after track. A concert centered on message and vibration, inviting audiences to discover the new material as well as revisit the songs that shaped his identity.
