Cass McCombs

Californian singer-songwriter and guitarist Cass McCombs has for more than twenty years drawn a clear line between indie rock, folk and touches of country. His songs blend understated melodies with tightly honed lyrics, able to shift from a hushed ballad to a more electric tension without losing their thread. From Catacombs to Mangy Love and Heartmind, he has fashioned a wide-ranging repertoire in which the arrangements always serve the songwriting.

With Interior Live Oak, released in August 2025, McCombs tightens the focus even further. The album draws on two decades of experimentation to go straight to the point, with a more direct lyrical approach and guitars that hold the line without frills. On stage, this new chapter takes the form of the Interior Live Oak Live tour in 2026, conceived to put the lyrics front and center while retaining the band’s momentum.

Cass McCombs will be in Paris on 8 June 2026 at Le Petit Bain, appearing with the full band. The program will feature tracks from the new album and standout songs from his catalogue, carried by precise guitar work, subtle harmonies and a storytelling sensibility that leaves room for silence as much as for build-ups. A concert to follow closely a songwriter who advances without artifice, with songs that settle in and stay with you.
