Hugues Aufray

On June 27, 2026 at the Zénith de Rouen (Le Grand-Quevilly), Hugues Aufray takes to the road again and puts his songs back at center stage. With his guitar slung over his shoulder, he moves through a repertoire that has accompanied several generations: Santiano, Céline, Adieu monsieur le professeur, Le petit âne gris, L’épervier, Stewball. On stage, the interpreter of French folk favors a direct acoustic sound, carried by a voice that tells of the road and the people he has sung about.

True to his American ties, he also slips in echoes of Dylan, whose songs he popularized in French, between more intimate numbers and choruses meant to be sung together. No frills, just the warmth of a guitar-led set, where each song regains its nerve.
