On April 3, 2026, Glen Hansard brings Don’t Settle to The Great Hall, 1087 Queen Street West, Toronto. The Dublin-born singer, songwriter and guitarist first made his name with The Frames, the band he founded in 1990, then reached a wider audience with the film Once, whose song Falling Slowly won the Academy Award. His solo path includes Rhythm and Repose, the Jason Molina homage EP It Was Triumph We Once Proposed, Didn’t He Ramble and This Wild Willing.
Live, Hansard moves between stripped-back folk and band-driven arrangements, with storytelling at the center. His songbook covers The Frames era, the Once soundtrack and his solo albums, shaped by a direct, melodic writing style and a strong sense of dynamics. Don’t Settle brings that range to the stage in Toronto, for a concert focused on songs that have traveled from small rooms to large halls without losing their edge.
