The Mystery Lights

The Mystery Lights arrive at Bal Chavaux in Montreuil on March 19, 2026. Formed in Salinas, California around Mike Brandon and L.A. Solano, the band forged a language between garage rock and psychedelia, nourished by punk and skate culture. Based in New York since 2012, they completed the lineup with Alex Amini (bass), Zachary Butler (drums) and Lily Rogers (keyboards), and quickly found their playground in the city’s DIY circuit.

Spotted by Daptone, they signed in 2015 to Wick Records and followed with The Mystery Lights (2016), Too Much Tension! (2019) and Purgatory (2024), records that broaden the spectrum without losing that raw thread: repetitive riffs, a tense organ and raspy vocals. On stage, the band plays without pause and puts energy front and center. Their latest discographic nod is a 7-inch on PDOOM, the label of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard: “Kids of Today” / “Wish You Unwell.” The first cuts through a proto-metal vein heavy with psychedelia; the second shifts toward a darker, more soulful ballad—a story of sorrow and black nights. At Bal Chavaux, expect a tight, dense live set designed for immediate impact and close connection.
