Info
Currents and ERRA bring The Silence Follows Tour 2026 to MTELUS in Montréal on March 18, 2026, with Caskets joining the bill. A night mapped around metalcore that leans both progressive and melodic.
Currents, formed in the early 2010s in Fairfield, Connecticut, push a progressive-tinged metalcore built on the interplay between harsh and clean vocals, jagged riffs and atmospheric breaks. After early DIY releases, the band stepped out with the EP Life // Lost (2015) and debut album The Place I Feel Safest (2017) on SharpTone. The EP I Let the Devil In (2018) and The Way It Ends (2020) sharpened dynamics and tempo shifts, while The Death We Seek (2023) tightened the balance of rhythmic bite, melodic textures and discreet electronics around introspection and social tension.
Erra, formed in 2009 in Birmingham, Alabama, carve a progressive approach where technical guitars, airy layers and a split vocal delivery set the tone. Guided by guitarist-composer Jesse Cash, the group introduced itself with Andromeda (2010) and Impulse (2011), then deepened its palette through Augment (2013), Drift (2016) after the arrival of vocalist J.T. Cavey, and Neon (2018). The self-titled album (2021) and Cure (2024) push melody and contrast without dropping the weight.
Caskets, from Leeds, emerged from the UK’s melodic metalcore and post-hardcore lines. Formerly Captives and now on SharpTone since 2020, the band centers Matt Flood’s clear vocals over percussive riffs, synth touches and structures close to alternative pop. Lost Souls (2021) and Reflections (2023) explore vulnerability, relationships and resilience.
